We're hosting a knit-a-thon, with a difference.
Over the August bank holiday weekend, at the Start@Kew festival (www.startuk.org), Start Imagining will be inspiring and teaching hundreds of children (and adults!) to knit, through a mass-participation knit-a-thon.
Knitters, both novices and pros, will challenge themselves to knit as many squares as they can during their trip to Kew. The squares shall then be sewn together to form a giant patchwork quilt.
Given that most of the knit-a-thoners will never have held a knitting needle in their life, it's going to be quite a challenge...
So yes, we're asking you to sponsor us... But no, we're not asking you to give your change: we're asking you to create change. We want to knit a better world, and we want you to help us!
Follow the instructions on the right and sponsor us with a DoAction. We recommend doing 'All made up' - it fits pretty nicely with the knitting.
So please, get doing!
Thank you!
