General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The nature of what we do means that we need to capture personal data on all our users. We have taken care to ensure we comply with the new GDPR regulations. Details of this are included in the Privacy Policy and Registered User Terms and Conditions above, but for clarity's sake here is an overview of how we comply:

Data controller / Data Processor

In the most part, Do Nation acts as a Data Controller, and we comply accordingly as outlined below.

In some instances, we become the Data Processor. For example, if you upload employee or other people's personal data as part of an organisation's campaign, we become the Data Processor while you are a Data Controller. We take responsibility for managing our data security obligations; you must take responsibility for complying to to the GDPR obligations for Data Controllers.

Once a user who's data you uploaded activates their account, they enter a direct contract with us and we become the Data Controller. Once your subscription expires, we will permanently delete the personal data of any users who did not activate their account.
