On the 1st June, myself and a handful of others will be attempting to run/walk/climb/crawl up and down Arthur's Seat as many times as possible within 24hrs. The record stands at 48 ascents (!) and anyone who has been up to the top of Arthur's Seat will know that it's no mole hill. Rather than ask for monetary donations, the organisers of the event, M.A.D challenges (standing for Move Act Do) request that the participants' sponsors offer 'pledges' which will benefit our environment, health or wellbeing. Two or 3 pledges per sponsor would be great (as I've left it a bit late to get the campaign up and running :/ ) And the possibilities are endless! From giving up smoking or drinking, cycling instead of taking the bus, composting, recycling or volunteering. The aim is to stick to your chosen pledges for a 2 month period, and in return help to bring about a positive change in the world around us. All I ask is that you give it your best shot, which is exactly what I will be doing on the 1st June!
For help on deciding which pledges to implement, you can pick from one of the top 'Do Actions' below, or browse more by clicking the ‘pledge’ button above. Many thanks from myself and M.A.D Challenges. If you'd like to take part in the event yourself then you still can! Go to https://madchallenges.org/events/mad-seat-2018/ You know you want to!
