Yes, I’m asking you to sponsor me, but no, I’m not asking for you to give change: I’m asking you to create change.

Over the Easter Bank holiday, i'll be cycling 375 miles from London to Calais to Brugge to Holland to Harwich and back to London again. I am doing this in memory of a friend Gareth Crockett who died tragically on 13th April in a collision with a car, while on his bike in Anglesey. Gareth was half way through completing his own 'Beldon' Challenge' which was a mountain of task running 4 marathons and cycling nearly 500 miles in a week. He will be sorely missed.

This was such a tragic accident, it's hard to know how to respond. But if you've got a moment please visit Gareth's Just Giving Page or have a go at this fresh off the shelf sponsorship with a twist. Its for a new social enterprise called the DoNation.

Follow the instructions on the right, browse the DoActions and find one (or more) that suits you, then make your pledge(s). They’ve all got an environmental focus and the currency is CO2 – The DoNation calculates these savings and donates them to me, publishing your pledges here on my page. You only pledge to do it for two months and all the information you need is provided here on The DoNation, making it simple and easy to complete. At the end of the two months you’ll be asked how you got on, and at that point your donation is confirmed. So please, get doing!
