150 miles in a week

Hey guys

I am going to love Namibia. I won't get any blisters. I won't struggle with self-doubt on the long day. I'll have a blast. But just in case the niggle in my foot decides to rear up, and I fall out with freeze-dried food, and I decide to throw my 12 kilo pack over the side of the steepest dune, I need your help.

I've thought about doing this for ages. And I was going to ask you to donate money to a charity. But I don't want any cash - I'd just like you to pledge one or two or three or... Of the pledges below, to make a difference in another way.

Some are really easy; others take a bit more effort, but every one helps our environment, health, or wellbeing. And remember - you only have to try it for two months.

I'm not perfect. I've started using a bamboo toothbrush, walk or take the train more often than taking the car on journeys where there is the option. I walk up stairs instead of taking the lift.

So please, while I'm away, it'll make things easier for me to get through the whole 150 miles (or 6 marathons).
